About English support here

Hello, just another voice from Taiwan.

I just found this project and checkout the code from svn. I met some problems and tried to look for answers. But it's a little bit hard to join the discussion here since I could only read/post messages in Chinese/English. Will this project provide some area for talking in English?

by accident you have arrived in world's best, most supportive, most cooperative, most helpful and finally kindest xtc-forum  

I, for my part, do very much appreciate to sometimes talk in English, in order to prevent that it's completely gone, one day. But you are right - for you it might become a bit challenging to e.g. use the forum search or to join running discussions. In case of "no clue what they are talking about...?" it can be helpful to make use of one of the translation programmes such as

I would suggest to just try it. Why don't you tell us a bit more about you and your needs? Are you running one or more webstore systems with the xtc software already? Did you get that this forum is on modified eCommerce Shopsoftware - a fork (modification) of xtc?

welcome to modified eCommerce Shopsoftware,

support in English ... some of us are certainly able to do that. The thing is, so far modified eCommerce Shopsoftware has addressed a German-speaking community, you will find quite a few German comments even in the code base, for historical reasons.

To provide for on-going support in English would be a organizational decision with some impact, therefore I need to discuss this within the admin team.

I'll get back to you very shortly.

as English support topics seem to emerge recently, we are currently discussing an own support section for English support requests.
Focussing on internationalization will be a medium-term issue.

However, feel free to post your questions in English already!
