ccTLD domains and SEO ?

Hi,

I would like for my website to have from all the europe countries domain name.
As an example

www.mywebsite.es
www.mywebsite.de
www.mywebsite.it
www.mywebsite.gr
www.mywebsite.au

and so on....

I have seen some websites work like this (e.x. airbnb)

with this way I would like to improve my SEO position to other countries.

I would like to ask is better for SEO to have bought multiple domain names from one country(ex germany) and this domains normally will look to the same host account ? So the same provider where I am now will give me the domains I will request.

If for each country I find a provider and gets domain name from each countries provider this can be done so that this domains will look to the same host account in germany ? At the end has any SEO benefit ?

I have seen also in the source file that they use the hreflang tag in association with the domains...  looks good... about the content it is loaded based on the selected language
