Shipping weight and size pricing

Hello,

I have one item in my stock that only weighs 90 grams however it requires shipping via DHL Paket because of the odd shape that it has that makes it not fit into other sized shipping methods.

The shipping price system for modified eCommerce is based on total shipping weight.

Question:

How do I adjust this one item so that it goes into the shopping cart with the correct paket class of shipping without faking the actual weight?

Found the answer after 5 days of searching, this problem was not easy to find a solution for. There has to be a better way. I can't believe this module is not automatically integrated into Modified E-commerce.

There are several modules I feel that should be standard in the software, but instead, users like me have to spend an incredible amount of searching and installing time for these things when they should be standard.

I hope that with your 2.0 version you consider this, or 3.0 you should definitely have items like this standard. It is easier for your customers to tick a button for not wanting to use than spending days searching and installing.

I beg your pardon, but I don't agree with your statement about what should be standard in the software.
As you can imagine, there is many different approaches and claims about what should be standard in a software like the present one.
Not all of these claims can be met, that should be obvious.

Further on one shouldn't forget that we are talking about free software with, one must say, already a vast range of features, thanks to the sedulous work of the modified team and many helpers.
For special wishes and demands it should be normal to commission a specialist and pay for an extension or a module.

Anyway there is a lot of cost free and partially priceless extensions to be found in the forum.
So, if you are looking for something special use the search form and/or ask questions.
With a bit of patience you will find what you need.
