Enable Use Search-Engine Safe URLs xtc modified 1.05b HOW ???

Hello forum,

I want to enable this option but i cant. It shows

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /shop/myCategory:::3.html on this server.

I do what it says
Die Seiten URLs können automatisch für Suchmaschinen optimiert angezeigt werden.

Für suchmaschinenoptimierte URLs muss die Datei _.htaccess im Hauptverzeichnis des Shops aktiviert bzw. in .htaccess umbenannt werden! Außerdem muss der Webserver mod_rewrite unterstützen! (Fragen sie ihren Webhoster, wenn sie das nicht überprüfen können.)

Anyone who can help me about the procedure ?

i DID SOMETHING. nOW I am able to open SUBCATEGORIES using Suchmaschinenfreundliche URLs benutzen=true but i have problem to CATEGORIES

CARS
--BMW
--AUDI
--FERRARI

I cannot open category cars but i can open subcategories(bmw, audi)

Please use the attached "_.htaccess" file and rename it ".htaccess".

I have my website into a subfolder /shop/ so i have made the changes in _unterverzeichnis_.htaccess and renamed it as .htaccess. Also i have replaced /xtc_mod/ with /shop/ in this file. i think this is the right way

we try to rename the "_.htaccess" to ".htaccess" but it is must ask the file name. It mean we must specify the any character in before of ".htaccess"

how to solve this issue?
